  4. Gday Guys, Smarty posted in the shoutbox to start a thread in here for any website issues. I have one. I used to use the Active Content button on the old forums, this displayed all posts that were active in the last 24 hours. was useful as soon as my Scrim posts and fun night posts dropped out of this 24 hours I then bumped them. I can no longer see an option for active content. Can we please get this added or me pointed in the right direction, or an explanation how I can keep these threads at the top of the everyones list. Drop down menus top right off member name not working assuming they will be drop down menus. Cheers Jinx. P.S. Website looks nice mate, very modern.
  5. !w Mcspuds aim down sights
  6. what do you mean despite what jinx says?? Simple fact, before forum update no issues using forums through IE (I only used IE for the forums). Now countless issues, I too had the same issue as blackbox above while trying to post warthunder fun night post. Could not embed media links in post, formatting font was problematic and the link box was hanging as blackbox mentioned. Quoting previous posts also doesn't work in IE.

  15. Having read this post I think what hodgy is looking at is a basic server rule set, that will reduce the number of questions the more experienced players will be receiving on a organized event of Arma. and keep the flow of the mission going to ensure an enjoyable gaming experience is achieved. I believe a weekly schedule, training missions can be kept to another post as that would be deemed off topic to Hodgy's original post. going on your list at the top Hodgy here is my $0.02: 1. General mission related chit chat to be kept to bare minimum during operations. Questions only to be asked once immediate area is secure. (i.e upon waiting for extraction, mission objective etc) Try and source the answer yourself before asking the server population. This will hopefully keep those questions to a minimum or at a time when they are less annoying 2. No discharge of weapons in secure bases. Weapons to remain secure until contact with enemy is made. This should be a standard rule for both of our servers 3. If you don't know how to you use an Arma System i.e. Planes, choppers, quads, vehicles. then don't try to use it during live missions time. Apply some common sense and practice in your own time. (there are plenty of tutorials for that sort of thing) Your questions and queries will be met with silence, or worse. 4. During live missions please keep non mission related chat to a minimum to enable member immersion in the mission. This falls under respect fellow members in our clan rules I believe. 6. During Arma III Missions, please keep to the mission objectives, ensuring compliance with squad leaders orders/ suggestions. This is to ensure a tactical based style of play that the Cartoon Generals employ. This I believe is an important rule to have, and would only be employed during mission events, based on the Scrim rules we have, I believe a squad structure should be employed on every mission i.e Platoon Leader, 2(+) Squad Leaders, Squad members. This would mean you listen to the member that is immediately above you for orders/ advice etc. Squad leaders can then be changed up week by week or if someone wants to give it a go. 7. language - keep foul offensive language to a minimum and never directed at another member. This is also in CG core rules 8. If you see something, say something... Call out Contact(s) with direction (compass bearing) and range to ensure all squad members are aware of location. Calling out contact with no direction is useless in the heat of the battle. Those are the 8 rules I can think of, It will give some structure to the Arma Events while not being completely strict and regimented as is the case of other military sim clans. Please edit or change as you see fit but once again talk of scheduling and training missions would be off topic.
  16. Sorry Guys I will be late getting to this one, my daughter has a soccer game rescheduled for that day due to rain last week. Please note, I need someone to take over as liaison for this scrim. Details are as follows:- BK have no scrim server, scrim will be hosted in their public server as a fun night style (mixed teams) maps and game types will remain the same. Happy Hunting gentlemen I will be there as soon as I can. All players will be in Cartoon Generals TeamSpeak for the duration! Jinx out.

Cooperative game mode where you and your friends team up to complete mission-based objectives. Squad system built upon role-based player classes, which are customizable and asymmetrical based on what team you are on. Squad-based communication system which includes 3D VOIP, allowing friendly and enemy players within proximity to hear you. Overhead map detailing objective and teammate locations. Accumulate supply to customize and upgrade your gear, affecting your weight, stamina, and movement speed. Simplified HUD and UI for a clean, immersive user experience focused on the action and environments. Highly immersive particle FX and audio to intensify the game experience. Create custom maps and content using the Insurgency SDK and scripting system. Playable on both PC and Mac OSX and supports multiplayer cross-compatibility. Dedicated Server Support for PC and Linux. Multiplayer Game Modes: *NEW* designates newly introduced in the "Molotov Spring" update. Adversarial Match Your team must complete objectives to receive reinforcement waves. Firefight --- Three territorial objectives, one for each team, plus one neutral. Each team only respawns when they secure an objective. Secure all objectives or eliminate all enemy to win. Every life counts, making this a very suspenseful experience dependent upon teamwork. Infiltrate *NEW* --- Your usual Capture the Flag but with a twist. In Infiltrate, your team's goal is to take the enemy's intel and return it to your base. Your team will only respawn when someone takes the enemy's intel, or when an enemy stealing your team's intel is neutralized. This mode requires very strong team coordination and strategy. Flashpoint *NEW* --- One neutral territorial objective and two caches on each side. The goal is to secure the entire area, controlling the middle and destroying the enemy's caches. Your team respawns when they secure a territorial objective or destroy a cache objective. Sustained Combat Your team gets multiple reinforcement waves, usually resulting in prolonged action. Push --- Three objectives must be captured by the attacking team in sequential order. For each objective captured, they gain more reinforcement and time to attack the next. Defenders have a finite amount of reinforcements and must use each wisely. Skirmish --- In addition to three territorial objectives, each team has a supply cache to protect. Teams gain extra reinforcement waves until their cache is destroyed. When both teams have lost their caches and all reinforcement waves, it becomes a Firefight match. Occupy *NEW* --- There is one central territorial objective in the area. The team that controls it does not deplete reinforcement waves. This gameplay in this mode is reminiscent to King of the Hill or "tug of war". Tactical Operation Players only get a single life per match. Ambush --- A high value target ("HVT") must be escorted to an extraction point. It's one team's goal to make this happen and it's the other team's goal to stop this from happening at all costs. The HVT is only armed with a silenced pistol, but can pick up a weapon from a fallen enemy or teammate. Strike --- In this attack and defend mode a weapon cache must be discovered and destroyed. There are three potential locations for the cache that the attacking team must get eyes on. The defending team must set up a strong defense, and perhaps even make use of distraction to trick the attacking team into thinking the cache is somewhere that it's not. Vendetta *NEW* --- Each team has a leader that must be brought to an objective in order for the objective to be captured. The first team to capture the objective with their leader or neutralize the enemy's leader will win the match. Cooperative Game Modes Checkpoint --- Complete mission-based objectives in sequence against AI enemy. Each successful objective will respawn anyone who was eliminated along the way. Game cost: Currently $9.99 USD on steam Regular $14.99 USD. System Requirements: OS:Windows
