  1. Fair 'nuff.
  2. Don't use Win10. But honestly, glad you got a response from someone who actually uses it. Hopefully it'll solve your problems. Win10 has no appeal to me thanks to all the dumb bullshit regarding updates and privacy, so I just don't use it.

I'm currently on a strict budget and in debt to family members so new games are out of the question for the time being.
  4. The drive with F and G is the one that's back to life. I did not physically turn mirroring off that I remember, but it has been unplugged for three years and doesn't seem to be re-syncing, so maybe I did. In any case, what this tells me is that I can take this drive and have it as my system backup (Cause I'm still a noob and only back up important files rather than everything) before I install a fresh 2TB drive for storage
  5. I don't see why I can't either, but I have system files on F as well with Data on G (which is the mirrored drive in two partitions) but I want to make sure before I even consider it just in case it's not safe and I end up formatting my system xD
  6. Hey gents, So for the past... three and a quarter years now, I've had a hard drive in my system that was unplugged due to assuming it had failed during a power surge. After replacing my fans today with some better ones, I decided to plug it back in and see what happened. This hard drive used to be mirrored with my previous one, but now no longer appears to be as I have four partitions: C:, D:, F:, and G:. C and F are named System and D and G are named Data which is why I know it's the mirrored drive. The last time it appears to have been altered was July 14th of 2012. With that said and both of these drives hooked back up, is there any reason I cannot format this hard drive and use it for storage? Would that screw up my primary drives? Also, under the assumption I wanted to re-mirror these drives, is it a simple process or a complete pain in the ass? Thanks for the assistance guys
  7. After this announcement today it's looking like I likely won't be buying Battlefront.
  8. Please don't feel like you have to. It's not a big deal, just annoying. I'm pretty sure it's a problem with a hard drive as I had two that were mirrored, and no longer are due to the back up failing during a power surge. I'm also nearly out of space on both my partitions and just need more space in general, but the system is also nearly six years old so it's entirely possible that it's simply time for new parts. I need new fans anyway, my system runs fairly hot and they have issues running at a steady RPM. That said, I've got work in eight hours so I'm off to sleep. Thanks for all your help!
  9. I have an ASUS P6X58D motherboard I won't know for some time. Restarting usually solves the screen flickering for an hour or two before they start picking up again. It'll take a day or two of being on until I'll know whether they're helped or not.
  10. The speed with which this computer starts up makes me cry... it used to take 15 seconds when it was first put together. Maybe I just need to invest in entirely new parts and an SSD or two LOL It does appear that it has successfully flashed though. I worried greatly at first because when I opened VGA @BIOS to check it gave me a failed to initialize error, trying again got the information to show up. I'm going to let this sit for a few days and see if the problem persists. Thanks a bunch again Hodgy. If you're ever on the West Coast of the states I owe you a beer sometime
  11. Welp, wish me luck
  12. Well I mean, if it's telling me that it's failing to write that tells me that it's write protected and I don't know enough about GPUs to even want to attempt to mess with it. I think I'm just going to end up trying to get a replacement card or contacting gigabyte for support. All the same though, I appreciate your assistance Hodgy.
  13. I restarted anyway, but after flashing it said that it failed to write. Which is probably a good thing considering what I mentioned in my last post.
  14. It shouldn't, but my tower's slow to start (takes 20 minutes from cold startup) Also I'm back before even restarting. Says the flash failed because the BIOS id's don't match haha Well now I'm scared to restart because the bios downloaded is V10 which won't work with a V1 bios, it needs to be V2-9. :S
  15. Will do, and thankfully I have a backup of the BIOS in the event this completely screws me I shall return within 60 minutes with results.
