  1. Rules are a point. Certifications require training sessions and proper facilities, ie; kill houses, firing ranges (AT/AA/ Rifle grenade, Sniper/Small arms range), Flight school etc. A standard uniform would help with minimizing battleground TK's and if your shooting for class limitations with certifications then limited/required loadouts may be neccessary. Leadership training (Commander stragetic training, dedicated communication channels/formats, (ie Lead to FTL, FTL to Team, Air/Artty fire mission protocol etc.), tactical movement for FTL along with formation types and use for the team add realism and efficiency and build a manageable unit. Basic training tor Team members, (HALO drops, crew served weapons (mortors etc.), small arms use) will be a must for buliding a cohesive fighting team. All this will be a continuious learning event when the mods (ACE, DICE etc.) become availiable with their increased/expanded capabilities, (additional funcitions for Medic etc.). This is a long road which can lead to ruin if not properly managed or recieved so be sure as to what you want the unit to become. I've been playing ArmA for a long time and have been with 4 or 5 different groups, all of which have disbanded for several reasons, too strict, too much internal drama, financial concerns, time constrants for members etc. and it seems that the more requirements there are on members the more it seems like work and not recreation. Sorry to have rambled on so, but you asked for input.
  2. Will try to be there...given the chaos around here tones down some.
  3. I would like to see Sthud makes keeping track of teammates, cardinal directions, classes(ie SL, at/aa , mg, medic etc.) very easy, and is versital enough to color code part of the group as "blue" team and another part as "red or yellow or whatever" team (good for split team attacks), helps maintain position when using tactical formations, can make the medic a special color to be found quickly if you are bleeding out and need him pronto, etc.
  4. Will try to make it..I believe it's 4pm pst
  5. I also have it.

Gentlemen, Thank You for your kind messages of welcome to the group. I too hope that the future holds a truly awesome addition to the ArmA series and as it develops I also hope to become a useful team member of your group. Most of my life was devoted to helping the public at large when disaster struck but my priority was always the safety and care of my team/ teammates above all. ArmA allows me to continue that devotion on the virtual battlefield and I believe we could become a truly formibdible unit in he ArmA community. See you on the field. Gramps

Hi, I guess I'll start with a little history: I'am 62, retired from work ,but not anything else, live in sunny california, land of fruits and nuts, and wish I were elsewhere, but that's not possible at this time. I'am married with grandchildren (6), so things are pretty busy most of the time. I try to play as much as I can but rarely get on before 9pm PST, even on weekends. I play Blk. Ops. to waste time but perfer ArmA. I have been playing ArmA since the OFP days and have enjoyed every minute and am astounded at the advances in graphics, ai response, game addons and complexity that have occurred over the years. I perfer to play in a mature squad based atmosphere with emphasis on basic military style, which is why I thought I would try your group. If I'am in the wrong group please let me know, no hard feelings. Sorry but have to go, any questions just ask. Gramps
