Well my old gaming rig decided to take a nose dive and completely go out. So I sent it off to some people that I have a protection plan with for all the electronics in my house. They were not able to fix it. So they are sending me a check for the rig. Was debating about building this next rig also but didn't really feel like it so I have ended up letting Xidax.com build my new rig.

Specs:
Intel I7-4790k

MSI Z-97-Gaming 7 Mother board

32 GB DDR3-1600 Ram

Corsair RM850W Power Supply

24x Asus DVD-RW Combo

NVIDIA Geforce GTX 980 GPU

2x 256GB SSD Raid 0

Western Digital Black 1TB

Bitfenix Recon Fan control

got the Quiet treatment

Corsair H80i H2O CPU Cooling

Windows 8.1 64-bit

Then the case has 6 fans
1x230MM Front fan
1x120MM Rear fan

2x230MM Top fan

2x120MM Bottom fan

If you don't plan on overclocking I would not get the k cpu.

Also that gpu will have access to dx 12. I would get win 8.1 as 7 will not have dx 12.

I would not bother with a raid setup, ssd's are fast enough.

Ok have updated to 8.1 and doubled the memory. The reason for the Raid 0 setup was because it was a better deal to get 2x256GB SSD than it was for 1 512GB SSD.

Still get the 2x ssd's thats fine.. But running them in raid can cause problems. Windows on one drive and your fav games on the other..
